Sedating agitated child ppt
The RASS is one of many sedation scales used in medicine.Other scales include the Ramsay scale, the Sedation-Agitation-Scale, and the COMFORT scale for pediatric patients. This means that the site will not run as smoothly/quickly as possible and could result in certain functionality not working as designed. The physician must determine whether the patient can provide a history, ie, whether the patient readily and coherently responds to initial questions. These patients may self refer or be referred to the ED by concerned family members, other health professionals i.e., GPs, community mental health teams, or transported by police or paramedics in an aroused and agitated state for assessment, management and to rule of organic cause for their behaviour.
