Communicator contacts not updating
When I click this report for more details I'm seeing : "Cannot synchronize with the corporate address book.
This may be because the proxy server setting in your web browser does not allow access to the address book.
From Tech Net’s description: “More often than not, the automatic synch between the user database and Active Directory will keep the information in the user database up to date.
However, it is possible that a problem might occur that prevents this automatic synchronization from taking place.
cmdlet is run then a ‘synchronize now‘ event is marked and the update is not actually run immediately.
But Lync 2010 can take its precious time doing that, if it wants.
If the problem persists, contact your system administrator".
We do not use a web proxy at all internally, so this message is not at all helpful.
However (from memory) the address book is only generated on the OCS server every 24 hours so you may need to check for issues there too. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Exception type: Null Reference Exception Any ideas?
This polling interval is 5 minutes by default and can be customized to any value between 5 seconds and 3 hours.
